Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults Kickstarter is Now Fully Funded

The Kickstarter campaign for the first co-op Action-RPG in the Pathfinder universe has now exceeded its original backing goal.

The ARPG set in the Pathfinder’s immersive world has now smashed its original Kickstarter goal. Aiming to gain $308,998 USD (CA$ 410,000) the amount now current stands at $342,150 (at the time this was written). There is just a few hours to go. Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults is being developed by Quebec-based developer BKOM Studios. They are doing something quite different to the usual video games based on the pen-and-paper roleplaying game. This time developing an Action-RPG that can be played in co-op.

Pathfinder Action RPG

Earlier at the end of May, we covered the launch of the Kickstarter campaign. It detailed an adventure into the mega-dungeon Gauntlight Keep. In Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults players take up the role of an adventurer against the evil Belcorra. The game can be played as a single-player or in co-op with up to four players. Couch co-op is also promised. Players can venture as either a barbarian, wizard, cleric, or ranger.

What’s most interesting about this game is the deviation from turn-based or strategy-based combat. Previously we’ve had titles such as Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous or Pathfinder Kingmaker. Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults is however inspired by the 2E ruleset and taking those elements into action-based combat. Characters will also have customisation options with “Feat Selection”. While classes dictate the overall theme, there is room for playstyle customisation.

If you want to jump on this project, be sure to do it post haste as the campaign will finish in just a few hours. While the original target has been met for Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults, you can still help back the game and help reach stretch goals. Stretch goals include a new boss dragon Ravirex at $350k USD and new enemy types at $365k.

This isn’t the only recent Pathfinder title to be announced in development by BKOM. The spinoff bullet hell roguelite Pathfinder Gallowspire Survivors was also revealed.

Pathfinder Abomination Vaults will be coming to PC via Steam and GOG with an estimated delivery of July 2025 according to the Kickstarter page.
