Honkai: Star Rail Physical Trailblazer Build Guide

Honkai: Star Rail Physical Trailblazer Build Guide – In this Honkai: Star Rail Physical Trailblazer Build Guide, I’m going to share my Physical Trailblazer Build to easily destroy enemies. I’ll be discussing the Stats and Skills you should pay attention to, the Light Cones and Relics to strive for, and the Companions to pick in order to highlight the Physical Trailblazer’s DPS capabilities. If you want to play as a damage dealer who destroys multiple enemies with the swing of a bat, then this Level 40 Physical Trailblazer Build Guide is for you!

Honkai: Star Rail Physical Trailblazer Build Guide

Physical Trailblazer is the character in Honkai: Star Rail you’ll initially play until you reach a certain point in the story. By this time, you’ll have access to the Fire Trailblazer who specializes in dealing Fire Damage and tanking hits on behalf of the team. What the Physical Trailblazer does differently though, is that they can execute moves to attack several enemies at once while maintaining huge Physical Damage numbers.

To make them shine in combat, you’re going to need another DPS to aid them in annihilating one target after the next. This can either be in the form of Seele if you manage to pull her, or the free-to-play character known as Dan Heng. Next, you’ll need to consider the best support character whose goal will be to keep you and your allies alive. You have the choice to pick March 7th or Natasha during the early game depending on what your main focus is. Will it be conjuring shields or healing everyone at the same time? And finally, you’ll want to get Tingyun who’s not only an expert Attack buffer but also an Energy regenerator.

Honkai: Star Rail Physical Trailblazer Build Guide – Stats And Eidolons

In this Honkai: Star Rail Physical Trailblazer Build, Physical Trailblazer follows the Destruction Path so similar to Hook, they’re highly equipped at dealing huge damage and they have decent defenses, allowing them to survive longer in combat. Compared to the Fire Trailblazer, they excel in dealing the most amount of Physical Damage possible while inflicting Bleed to deal damage over time (DoT). As with the other DPS characters, the main stats you’d want to invest heavily in are Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and Attack

Consistently increasing these will considerably boost the Physical Trailblazer’s overall damage, may it pertain to their Physical burst damage or Physical DoT. Moreover, since these scale with Attack %, you’ll want to keep raising this stat to be able to make the most out of their DPS capabilities.

In addition to increasing Crit and Attack, you’ll invest in substats such as Break Effect and Speed. What’s important with Break Effect is it refers to how much burst Physical Damage and DoT the Trailblazer continues to deal even after reducing the target’s Toughness to 0. The higher this value is, the more effective the damage continues to be. And lastly, there’s Speed, which pertains to how soon they’re most likely to attack next and how frequent their actions are in 1 round. Of course, you’d ideally want to execute several abilities as soon as possible to annihilate enemies quickly.

When it comes to the Physical Trailblazer’s Eidolons, it’s best to unlock all 6 of them with A Destructing Glance at Level 4 taking the top spot. A Destructing Glance significantly increases their Crit Rate upon hitting a target inflicted with Weakness Break. This works wonders, especially when you’re about to slay that same enemy and when there are additional foes left on the battlefield to deal Crit Damage against.

A Destructing Glace Eidolon at Level 4

Next is at Level 6, which is called A Trailblazing Will. This Eidolon triggers at most double the Attack % increase every time the Physical Trailblazer kills a target. So their succeeding damage will greatly impact the rest of the enemies. And finally, there’s A Falling Star at Level 1. A Falling Star is a potent Eidolon that helps in reaching Max Energy fast to be able to trigger their Ultimate more frequently, provided that they eliminate their foe. This works well with A Trailblazing Will because not only will they end up dealing amplified damage but they also replenish more Energy afterward, making it a win-win situation.

Honkai: Star Rail Physical Trailblazer Build Guide – Skills And Traces

In this section, we’ll talk about the Physical Trailblazer’s Skills and Traces together with what you should prioritize in combat.

  • Perfect Pickoff (Talent) – This passive allows the Physical Trailblazer to gain double the Attack % boost every time they break the target’s Toughness. So they have a choice of inflicting Weakness Break across all enemies or focusing on one at a time to slay them quicker. You’ll most likely have unlocked An Unwilling Host, which is the Eidolon available at Level 2. Doing so would restore a portion of the Physical Trailblazer’s HP as long as they concentrate on hitting those who have Physical Damage weakness. Perfect Pickoff can be stacked by up to 2x, which not only significantly boosts Attack % but also the Trailblazer’s Defense once you gain access to the Perseverance Ability at Character Ascension 4. In relation to this, you’ll also want to unlock HP Boost and DEF Boost to significantly improve your chances of surviving in combat.
Perseverance Bonus Ability
  • Immortal Third Strike (Technique) – This technique lets you restore everyone’s HP while exploring the world of Honkai: Star Rail. But Immortal Third Strike isn’t that useful since there are enough Space Anchors to replenish HP. I would advise against activating it unless you absolutely have to but you’re better off using the other defense, attack, and combat-initiating techniques to gain advantage early on.
  • Farewell Hit (Basic ATK) – This is the Physical Trailblazer’s regular attack that allows them to deal Physical Damage against an enemy, the value of which depends on how high their Attack % is. To enhance the stat further, be sure to unlock all of the ATK Boosts in the traces section.
  • RIP Home Run (Skill) – This is a powerful Physical Trailblazer skill that lets them deal the same amount of burst Physical Damage against single targets and those beside them. RIP Home Run is the preferred ability alongside the Ultimate, to deal with multiple enemies at once. Gaining access to the Fighting Will Ability at Character Ascension 6 should further increase their damage by +25% against the enemy of their choice.
RIP Home Run (Skill)
  • Stardust Ace (Ultimate) – This Ultimate Ability allows the Physical Trailblazer to either pulverize a single foe by dealing almost triple the damage they would with RIP Home Run or include adjacent enemies into the mix, which spreads out the overall burst damage they end up inflicting. Either way, Stardust Ace is an amazing way to finish them off or break their Toughness. On top of the increased damage received from the Fighting Will Ability, you can also receive additional Energy at the start of every encounter as long as you unlock the Ready for Battle Ability.

Honkai: Star Rail Physical Trailblazer Build Guide – Light Cones

When it comes to Light Cones, the ones you’ll want to chase after for the Physical Trailblazer’s kit are Collapsing Sky, Woof! Walk Time!, and On the Fall of an Aeon. Collapsing Sky is a decent 3-star Light Cone that significantly raises the damage dealt by Farewell Hit and RIP Home Run to be able to destroy targets efficiently. You can ascend Collapsing Sky by as much as Level 30 until you get ahold of Woof! Walk Time! as you progress further in the game. The good thing about this Light Cone is it’s easy to collect so you can quickly reach Superimposition 5 to deal greater damage.

Meanwhile, Woof! Walk Time! is a 4-star Light Cone that not only boosts the Physical Trailblazer’s Attack by default but also the damage they deal against those who have Bleed. This makes it so you’ll focus on attacking afflicted targets to eliminate them as soon as possible. Lastly, the best 5-star Light Cone you’d want is the On the Fall of an Aeon, which can be purchased in Herta’s Store for 8 Herta Bonds. Herta Bonds are obtained from the Simulated Universe.

On the Fall of an Aeon provides 2 powerful effects. The first one is an Attack boost by up to 4x as long as the Physical Trailblazer performs an attack. And it’s not limited to slaying the enemy. While the second involves a Physical Damage boost upon inflicting Weakness Break. What’s more, is that they’ll also activate the Attack buff given by the Perfect Pickoff Talent, thereby further amplifying their succeeding damage.

Honkai: Star Rail Physical Trailblazer Build Guide – Relics

In terms of Relics, it’s important to remember that for the Head and Hands, your character gets a flat HP and Attack bonus, respectively. This isn’t the case for the Body and Feet, which are comprised of random stats such as Crit and Break Effect %. Ideally, you’d want to equip 4-star Relics since they provide 2-3 substats in addition to their main stat. But remember that regardless of the rating, enhancing them for every 3 levels will yield a random substat. For a Level 40 Physical Trailblazer, it’s enough to level up their Relics to a maximum of +6 for 4-star gear until you get their 5-star versions to reserve enough resources by then.

For the Physical Trailblazer’s Relics, you’ll only need to acquire and wear one 4-piece set, specifically the Champion of Streetwise Boxing. It not only increases Physical Damage but also boosts their Attack % when they either attack or are hit by an enemy. Note that the stat increase can stack up by as much as 5x, which greatly boosts their overall damage.

You can farm the Champion of Streetwise Boxing Set from the Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Jabbing Punch. For the Champion’s Chest Guard and Fleetfoot Boots, you’ll want to focus on gaining Crit and Attack Stats, followed by Break Effect % and Speed.

Team Composition

In Honkai: Star Rail, you’ll have all four characters available while combat is ongoing so you won’t be swapping from one to the next. There also won’t be elemental pools left behind. Instead, you’ll focus on the enemy’s weaknesses to deplete their Toughness and HP accordingly. For this Physical Trailblazer Guide, I’ll be sharing the best characters and how effective their abilities are for this build.

Team Composition for Physical Trailblazer

Together with the Physical Trailblazer, you’ll want another powerful DPS who can jump in for the kill, and no one is more equipped to do so than Seele. She’s an amazing Quantum damage dealer who gains extra turns in combat upon slaying her targets. She also inflicts Entanglement to lower their ranking in the Action Order, thereby delaying their actions down the line. If you haven’t pulled her yet, you can opt for Dan Heng, the other Hunt Path character who excels in dealing crits left and right using the Cloudlancer Art: Torrent Skill. What’s more, is that he can also slow targets down with the Ethereal Dream Ultimate.

Next, you’ll need a support character who focuses on conjuring shields like March 7th of the Preservation Path or healing allies like Natasha of the Abundance Path. The choice is up to you but either of them will be a great addition to the team, especially since the Hunt Path characters are glass canons. One thing to note is that March 7th can only summon one shield at a time so should you get Gepard, he’ll be the better option.

Last but not least, you’ll need someone who specializes in buffing both damage dealers, specifically Tingyun of the Harmony Path. Tingyun is an incredible character who not only amplifies damage but also restores a portion of an ally’s Energy with Amidst the Rejoicing Clouds Ultimate, allowing them to trigger their Ultimate Abilities more frequently.

Final Tips

Physical Trailblazer is a good 5-star character who deals massive Physical Damage against multiple enemies. They can also inflict Bleed to deal Physical DoT in order to finish encounters efficiently. For skill rotation, you’ll want to prioritize activating the Stardust Ace Ultimate to significantly boost burst damage. What’s great about this ability is that you can choose to slay one or several targets at once. Next would either be the RIP Home Run Skill or the Perfect Pickoff Talent, whichever will inflict Weakness Break first to further boost the Trailblazer’s Attack %, and consequently, their damage.

Should you get lucky in your pulls and manage to acquire the Something Irreplaceable Light Cone, you can choose to equip this instead. This 5-star Light Cone will not only significantly increase your Attack % but also restore a portion of your HP should you get hit or upon defeating a single foe. What’s more, is that your damage also gets a boost, allowing you to destroy the others left on the battlefield more quickly.

When it comes to Planetary Ornaments, be sure to equip the Celestial Differentiator. This set increases the Physical Trailblazer’s Crit Damage and their Crit Rate to effectively obliterate their enemies.
