I’ll be discussing the Stats and Skills you should pay attention to, the Light Cones and Relics to strive for, and the Companions to pick in order to make the most out of Qingque’s damage. Honkai: Star Rail Qingque Build Guide

Qingue is a one-of-a-kind 4-star character who adds complexity to the way you pilot characters. She’s fun to build because of her unique playstyle where the effectiveness of her overall damage depends on pulling the right tiles at the right time. There’s some RNG involved so you might not immediately get her to deal huge Quantum Damage from the get-go. But with enough support characters, the number of actions Qingue executes in combat increases. This allows her to draw more tiles to eventually boost her damage numbers.  

To improve her abilities as the main DPS, you’ll want to have Welt or Pela on the team. Both of them are more than capable of dealing consistent damage while making use of effective crowd-control techniques. You’ll also need classic buffers such as Tingyun or Asta to considerably enhance everyone’s Attack and damage. Lastly, be sure to include Natasha who will always be there, especially during precarious moments.

In this Honkai: Star Rail Qingque Build, Qingque follows the Erudition Path so she’s an expert when it comes to inflicting damage against multiple targets, quite the opposite of the Hunt Path characters who deal with one enemy at a time. Compared to other DPS, the effectiveness of her Quantum Damage is dependent on how lucky she gets in her tile draws. Otherwise, she ends up attacking just a single target every time. 

Regardless though, you’ll still focus on heavily investing in Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and Attack. Having impeccable Crit and Attack significantly boosts her damage in order to hit harder. Moreover, her Quantum Damage scales with Attack % so the higher this corresponding stat is, the better. 

Qingque’s secondary stats is comprised of Speed and Break Effect. With decent Speed, she’s able to act fast and more often in combat whether it involves drawing tiles to boost her damage further or to attack targets outright. This should also expedite Energy restoration so she can keep activating her Ultimate Ability. 

On the other hand, Break Effect refers to the continued effectiveness of her damage once she attacks groups of enemies who have experienced Weakness Break. Unlike the others, Quantum Damage causes Entanglement, which pushes them down the Action Order to delay their turns. While in this state, affected targets also receive more Quantum Damage, making Qingque’s moves lethal.

When it comes to Eidolons, you’ll ideally want to unlock all 6 of them with Sleep on the Tiles at Level 2 taking the top priority. Sleep on the Tiles regenerates Qingque’s Energy faster over time when she draws tiles, which is executed frequently. When it’s an ally’s turn to perform an action, she draws a tile; when she activates her Technique and Skill she draws another set of tiles. As such, you can expect to trigger her Ultimate Ability quite often. 

Next is at Level 6 where you gain access to Prevail Beyond the Tiles. This allows Qingque to gain a skill point once she uses the Enhanced version of her Basic Attack, provided that she becomes lucky enough to draw 4 tiles of the same suit. 

And lastly, there’s Right on the Tiles at Level 4. This Eidolon may seem confusing at first but what it means is that upon using Qingque’s Skill, there’s a chance to gain Autarky. This is a special feature, which lets her instantly perform a follow-up attack after triggering her Basic Attack whether it’s the regular or Enhanced version. The Quantum Damage she ends up dealing scales with the damage of her previous Basic Attack. With the Enhanced version, this will be more destructive to the targets.

Honkai: Star Rail Qingque Build Guide – Skills And Traces

In this section, we’ll talk about Qingque’s Skills and Traces together with what you should prioritize in combat.

• Celestial Jade (Talent) – This passive allows Qingque to draw 1 tile from a selection of 3 suits every time it’s an ally’s turn to act. In total, she can hold up to 4 tiles. The moment she gets all 4 of the same suit, she enters the “Hidden Hand State”. Although this prevents Qingque from briefly triggering her Skill, her Basic Attack becomes Enhanced, letting her deal more than double the regular version’s damage. 
• Game Solitaire (Technique) – This technique lets Qingque draw 2 more tiles once combat starts. So using Game Solitaire can potentially lead her to gain all 4 tiles of the same suit to execute devastating Quantum Damage during the early stages of an encounter. 

• Flower Pick (Basic ATK) – In comparison to the Basic Attack of the other characters, the Enhanced version of this ability is Qingque’s main advantage. Flower Pick lets her deal Quantum Damage against an enemy but at the same time, she discards 1 tile with the least number of suits to improve the chances of entering the “Hidden Hand State”. Once this is activated, she gains access to Cherry on Top! to deal massive Quantum Damage against a single target. Qingque will simultaneously inflict the same amount of damage as Flower Pick against surrounding enemies. Remember that this Enhanced version won’t generate a skill point until you unlock the Prevail Beyond the Tiles Eidolon but it’s very strong, making it the much better option. This Basic Attack synergizes well with the Winning Hand Ability, which buffs her Speed for 1 turn after using Cherry on Top! Remember to also unlock all ATK Boosts to maximize the damage she deals.

• A Scoop of Moon (Skill) – This skill lets Qingque draw 2 more tiles while momentarily increasing her damage for 1 turn. The traces you’d want to gain access to for A Scoop of Moon are DMG Boost: Quantum, Tile Battle Ability, and Bide Time Ability. Note that all their corresponding effects are triggered when this Skill is activated. Although Tile Battle can only be used once per encounter, the bonus skill point you acquire would still be beneficial for the entire team. Meanwhile, Bide Time increases DMG Boost effects by +10%, which is significant. 
• A Quartet? Woo-hoo! (Ultimate) – This is a great AoE ultimate that allows Qingque to deal nearly the same amount of Quantum Damage against multiple enemies in addition to acquiring all 4 tiles of the same suit. Not only can she possibly inflict Entanglement to lower their chances of attacking, but she’s also able to follow through with Cherry on Top!, thereby obliterating most, if not all, of her enemies in 2 turns.

Honkai: Star Rail Qingque Build Guide – Light Cones

When it comes to Light Cones, the ones you’ll want to chase after for Qingque’s kit are Data Bank, Seriousness of Breakfast, and Before Dawn. Data Bank is a decent 3-star Light Cone, which significantly increases Qingque’s Ultimate Ability damage, especially when this reaches Superimposition 5. It’s an amazing weapon for Erudition characters so while waiting for The Seriousness of Breakfast, Data Bank can be ascended up to Level 35 or 40.

Meanwhile, The Seriousness of Breakfast will not only naturally raise her Quantum Damage but also her Attack every time she kills a target. This Attack boost stacks up to a maximum of 3x, making Qingque deal even more damage to finish encounters efficiently. And finally, the best 5-star Light Cone you’d want for this character is Before Dawn. 

Before Dawn is extremely powerful because, for starters, it considerably makes Qingque’s Crit Damage that much more significant even at Level 1 as well as the damage dealt when using A Scoop of Moon Skill and A Quartet? Woo-hoo! Ultimate. After triggering either of these abilities, she gains “Somnus Corpus”. Somnus Corpus notably buffs her follow-up attack damage, making it highly likely to eliminate her targets by then. 

Honkai: Star Rail Qingque Build Guide – Relics

In terms of Relics, it’s important to remember that for the Head and Hands, your character gets a flat HP and Attack bonus, respectively. This isn’t the case for the Body and Feet, which are comprised of random stats such as Crit and Break Effect %. Ideally, you’d want to equip 4-star Relics since they provide 2-3 substats in addition to their main stat. But remember that regardless of the rating, enhancing them for every 3 levels will yield a random substat. For a Level 40 Qingque, it’s enough to level up her Relics to a maximum of +6 for 4-star gear until you get their 5-star versions to reserve enough resources by then.

For Qingque’s Relics, you’ll choose between 2 sets, namely the Musketeer of Wild Wheat or Genius of Brilliant Stars. Musketeer of Wild Wheat is something you’re already familiar with at the early stages of the game, and it continues to be effective later on. Wearing all 4 of its pieces will increase Qingque’s Attack and Basic Attack Damage together with her Speed so she can attack more often. 

But upon progressing deeper in Honkai: Star Rail, you’ll eventually gain access to the Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Providence. Here, you’ll be able to farm 4 pieces of the Genius of Brilliant Stars Set. This set enhances Qingque’s Quantum Damage and ignores a portion of the Defense Stat of their target, which results in dealing greater burst damage. Basically, the weaker they end up becoming, the more vulnerable they’ll be to her succeeding attacks. For the Genius’s Metafield Suit and Gravity Walker, you’ll want to roll Crit, Attack, Speed, and then Break Effect. 

Team Composition

Since Qingque will serve as your main DPS, you’ll need dependable secondary or sub DPS to deal huge damage while effectively debuffing targets. The best characters for this role are those who follow the Nihility Path, specifically Welt or Pela. Welt deals huge Imaginary Damage and inflicts Imprisonment to immobilize enemies and slow them down in order to lose turns in combat. He’s an exceptional character whom you’ll definitely want on your team. Alternatively, there’s Pela who not only reduces the target’s defenses but also freezes them and removes their buffs. She excels at weakening them to a pulp for Qingque to rush in for the kill.

For the team’s buffer, you’ll want to select Tingyun or Asta from the Harmony Path. Tingyun is an incredible Attack and damage booster as well as Energy regenerator because of her Amidst the Rejoining Clouds Ultimate. Doing so allows Qingque, Welt, and even Pela to trigger their Ultimate Abilities faster to deal the most amount of damage possible against multiple enemies. Meanwhile, Asta excels in boosting everyone’s Speed to execute more actions in combat.

Last but not least, you’re better off going with Natasha of the Abundance Path if you don’t have Bailu yet. Natasha is simply extraordinary when it comes to crucial moments. Oftentimes, her heals end up saving the entire team from despair.

Final Tips

Qingque is a very unique and interesting DPS character because she’s not straightforward to play. Instead, you need a bit of luck to bring out the best in her. But once you do, she’ll shred enemies at the same time thanks to her multi-targeted abilities. The order of her skill rotation will depend on whether or not she has entered the Hidden Hand State. If she hasn’t, you’ll need to constantly activate the Flower Pick Basic Attack, A Scoop of Moon Skill, and then wait for her Celestial Jade Talent to draw the correct jade tiles of the same suit. Once successful, you’ll trigger Cherry on Top! to deal devastating Quantum Damage, and then the A Quartet? Woo-hoo! Ultimate. Afterward, Qingque will use Cherry on Top! once again as a follow-up attack to destroy her targets.

If you manage to pull Bronya, you’d want to add her to your team to replace Welt or Pela. Bronya is an amazing Harmony Path character who boosts allies’ damage and defenses at the start of combat. She even has the ability to enhance everyone’s Attack together with their Crit Damage to significantly overwhelm enemies.

Lastly, when you unlock Planetary Ornaments, be sure to get the Celestial Differentiator. This accessory will considerably increase Qingque’s Crit Rate and Crit Damage to help her defeat multiple targets more effectively.
